Caribbean Carnival City Street Parade & Food Festival began Saturday, featuring food.
This event is 1-10 in the Metropolitan Park in downtown across from Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
It features Caribbean music, food and dancing, and arts and crafts, and including the Mardi Gras Parade at 1 begins at the corner of Bay and Market streets.

Carnival is sponsored by the Organization Inc. Jacksonville Carnival, which was founded in 1998.

Now, a nonprofit organization “dedicated to increasing awareness, understanding, open dialogue about, and appreciation for Caribbean culture on the First Coast,” according to the website.
