Top tennis player, Serena Williams, is set to treat the Bajans to a tennis match later this month.
Williams is set to face Caroline Wozniacki on November 28 and on November 29 in the gymnasium at Sugar Hill in Barbados. The game will benefit the local tennis fraternity.
Both players are also set to make a fantasy camp for children who are lucky in the event coordinated by the Barbados Tennis Association on Saturday, November 28.
Kodi Lewis, director of one of Barbados Tennis Invitation Exhibition, confirmed that the event will raise funds for the Barbados Tennis Association and the island `s top senior players, Haydn Lewis, based in Australia, and the two top juniors, Laos King and Alyssa Fuentes, who based in Barbados.
Gregory Armstrong, manager of sports tourism in Barbados Tourism Authority, commented, `This is very special because these players have a choice, but Barbados is their preference. This means that we continue to demonstrate our ability to stage quality events that will attract visitors to the destination. This means that awareness will increase and, by extension, revenue is added to the destination. `
