Described as the ‘Oscars’ of global travel and tourism industry by the Wall Street Journal, the World Travel Awards reveals ‘best of the best’ in the world. Sunday night, during the glittering gala in London, 16th annual World Travel Awards took place, and the Casa de Campo received The World’s Leading Golf Resort award.
“This is a great honor that hard work all our employees in providing the best service is recognized. Pete Dye created the first golf course in the Dominican Republic at Casa de Campo, Teeth of the Dog, back in 1971. This course has consistently been recognized by the media’s number one golf course golf course in the Caribbean and among the best in the world.
Through the great achievements in the Casa de Campo, Mr. Dye has been an inspiration to the Dominican Republic, and for years the other beautiful golf courses have been built in this country, which has become the capital of golf in the Caribbean.
