R & B songstress, Erykah Badu, will make a second performance in Jamaica on Friday, January 29 at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival at The Greenfield Stadium, Trelawny.
Erykah Badu burst into the music scene with the highly anticipated and Critically acclaimed 1997 debut album, Baduizm. Debut album at # 2 on the Billboard charts, and the lead single On & On burning through the charts in the U.S. and the UK. Since then, not only On & On has become a soul / R & B anthem, but Erykah continue recording hit after hit, and mesmerise audiences worldwide with her voice.
Darling replaced Badu American Idol Jennifer Hudson, who pulled from the festival after being asked by the North American record industry mogul Clive Davis to perform a special tribute during the Grammy’s is dedicated to him.
“We are disappointed that Jennifer could not perform at the festival.
