Depending on the cruise lines and destination, prices for many cruise ships had reached the lowest point for several weeks.

While winter sailing season is yet to come, cruise lines have repositioned their shipping is available for spring. One thing I noticed is that the starting price of this trip is higher than this fall’s repositioning cruise as the ships were returned to the traditional winter areas such as the Caribbean, Mexico, Australia and South America.

With that, I went hunting for bargains and interesting for the purpose as cruise lines reposition their ships in the spring of 2010.

Is the price of this cruise ship decrease as they near the departure date? The best rule is to find one that interests you, then immediately book the best cabin selection at a price you can afford. If you’re a gambler, then you can wait until closer to the date of sailing.

Here are some trips that I found. All prices are starting, based on per person, double occupancy and do not include taxes and fees. All this is available at the time of writing, but this may change by the time you read this.

Carnival Cruises Carnival is the position of San Diego Happy to Mobile, Ala. for the winter. This is a 15-day cruise departing on April 30 and includes travel through the Panama Canal. Ports of call include Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puntarenas, Cartagena, Grand Cayman and Tampa. The starting price is $ 979 U.S.. For more details, visit carnival.com.

Celebrity Millennium left San Diego on April 30 for Vancouver on the night of 14 attractive west coast and Alaska cruise. Port calls include Seattle, Sitka, Hubbard Glacier, the way Skag, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Ketchikan, Victoria and Vancouver. Prices start from $ 929. Find out more at celebritycruises.com.

Holland America, a leading cruise lines, who called this trip “Inca Empire.” It’s a long, 34-day cruise that began in San Diego, sailed to South America, and ended in Vancouver. This will be on what will be the newly renovated Rotterdam. Once you get to Lima, Peru you have three days to explore. This also includes overnight stops at Fuerte Amador and Huatulco. The starting price is $ 3658. Cruise departs on April 10, heading south to Puerto Vallarta, Zihuatanejo, Puerto Quetzal, Corinto, Fuerte Amador, Salaverry, Callo (Lima), and Manta Ecuador Guayaquil, Puerto Chiapas, Huatulco, Cabo San Lucas, San Diego again, Victoria to Vancouver . For more information, go to hollandamerica.com.

Norwegian Pearl sets sail on April 24, from Los Angeles to Vancouver with stops in San Francisco, Astoria, Victoria and Nanaimo. The cost is U.S. $ 399. Find out more at ncl.com.

MSC poesia screen on April 27 to 18 night trip from Fort Lauderdale to Hamburg for the price of U.S. $ 999. Ports including New York, Azores, Lisbon overnight, La Coruna, Bilbao, Dover and then to Hamburg. There are lots of sea days on this one. Children under 17 travel in the cabin with two adults travel free. Get more info on msccruisesusa.com.

There is another across the Atlantic on April 19 aboard Ruby Princess, which is the newest ship lines. It screens 16 days from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona. Port calls include Madeira, Sardinia, Gibraltar, Rome, Florence / Pisa, Genoa and Monte Carlo. The starting price is $ 1314. Read all about it on princess.com.

Here are some repositioning cruise appears in this month. I am not sure whether they will be available at the time you read this because they are coming so quickly and being offered at fire sale prices.

Royal Caribbean Independence of the Sea, which is one of the world’s largest ship, sailing 13-night cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale on Dec 23 for just $ 609.

Celebrity Solstice, which was launched last year, will leave Rome to Fort Lauderdale on Dec 30 for 13 nights. The starting price is $ 629.

Within six weeks, I’ll check the spring rates to see if there is a reduction. Until then, I’ll be a ship Carnival Dream and Oasis Sea. You can read about the impressions of the two new ships in portsandbows.com

With the Recession economy is still an issue, a lot of department stores and retail operations began promoting holiday merchandise sales in July, compared with the previous year norm. Travel agencies are following suit in the sale of cruise holidays vacation. talk to Steven Hattem, Vice President of marketing, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc., on a holiday cruise sales trends.

For 2009, “in the booking-window industry has been decreasing [experience] has made a little more order to this holiday,” notes Hattem. “We believe the increased demand will be closer to the actual holiday and as the weather turns cold in many parts of the United States. [Not] demand also restrained cruise travel, so we hope will be a holiday trip to see positive year-over year increase.”

Traditionally, many customers book a holiday cruise cruises nine to 12 months in advance. However, Hattem note that during the last few years, the availability of cruise holidays has been extended through the summer and even in the early autumn. “For 2009, the main holiday bookings now through September window,” said Hattem, that consumers have changed their buying patterns. They now do not start thinking about the holidays until after the summer when children will return to school. “We expect to see strong interest to become a holiday cruise in October this year,” he said.

In previous years, Cruises Inc. CruiseOne and will start with the holiday sailings in the previous year. “[But] due to the depreciation of booking, we have delayed our holiday campaign until September,” said Hattem. “In general, in 2009 this required a different approach to the marketing of sea travel.”

He said Cruises Inc. CruiseOne and expenses more than ever on advertising in the corporate level to support their agents and new car sales leads. “This will include a holiday last minute push to the middle to end of October,” notes Hattem.

The reality is that retailers are now focused on the many outstanding non-cruise vacation value on the market. So, many agents who focus on promoting travel to the closing-date for the cruise-line partners to help fill their ships this summer and fall.

As a result of the change in booking pattern this year, Hattem also said, “There are many more holiday inventory available now than ever before, and offers consumers new choices and options.” A Travel Agent magazine’s review stated that in the market place this is happening for both sea and river cruises.

For example, Costa Cruises offers a Caribbean holiday with a special seven-night cruises on the end of December, with prices ranging from $ 599 per person. Rates have been reduced by $ 500 and includes up-to-five-category upgrade. This applies to December 19 and December 26 of the Costa Atlantica and December 20 and December 27 sailings of the Costa Fortuna.

Shipping in the river side, AMA Waterways offers a discount of $ 500 on brochure price (from $ 1899 for shipping for only $ 2559 for land-cruise) for Christmas two-way shipping market. One is a 11-day vacation with two nights in Prague and cruise between Nuremberg and Budapest (or back) and the other is a 12-day Christmas Wonderland with options for three nights in Paris and the cruise from Trier to Amsterdam (or reverse).

Some of the tariffs for a holiday cruise sailings akan slightly lower than the previous year’s holiday season, reports Hattem. But he also said the launch of a new ship this year, including Royal Caribbean highly anticipated Oasis of the Seas also ships as Celebrity solstice is fielding “a holiday prices higher” than in the past few years.

Other newly launched oceangoing ships including Celebrity Equinox, Costa Luminosa, Costa Pacifica, MSC Splendida and Seabourn Odyssey. In addition, the Carnival Dream, Silver Pearl Mist and Spirit will enter service between now and the end of the year. New river cruises also launched this year.

Because the ship with thousands of new berths start sailing, the availability of holiday season will still be good enough in many brands and ships to enter the fall selling season. But as the latest razzle-dazzle ships began selling for a holiday cruise, Hattem expect agents likely will see a higher price overall for holiday travel in the other boat.

When selling a holiday trip this month and to fall in, the supplier said it is important to emphasize the “togethering”-especially important for families who have a challenging year. “Our holiday trip is designed to offer a way out of deadline pressure and have a plan to prepare the food and parties,” said Steve Tucker, Silversea’s Vice President in the areas of sales for North America. ”

Highlighting the onboard atmosphere in the most special decorations, parties, menus, entertainment, leisure and entertainment, including guest lecturers. In addition, there are many lines onboard clergy to perform religious services for both Christmas and Hanukkah.

This year will offer a great selection of cruise holidays, reduce inventory costs and more. And when Christmas does not come in July for most of the agents, given the change in order trends, and others said Hattem big holiday sales push voyage around the corner only.
