St. Kitts is said to start the new year than at an optimistic note in this year’s Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) which ended the Caribbean Marketplace in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Tuesday.

According to Caribbean Net News, St. Kitts was measured to show progress in the development and promotion of the island tourism industry and a positive outlook for 2010.

Message from St. Kitts delegation is that St. Kitts is “” island to watch for the coming year and beyond.

While in the Marketplace, St. Kitts delegates have the opportunity to meet and interact with key tour operators and / or wholesalers that includes the travel industry and the Caribbean region, while also networking with select journalists, distribution systems, and publishing companies. Two-day event consists of pre-scheduled appointments between suppliers and buyers as well as various social events and receptions.

“Taking part in CHTA Caribbean Marketplace is the best way to start our efforts for the year 2010,” said Mrs. Rosecita Jeffers, CEO of St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “The networking opportunities here are tremendous and we intend to take full advantage of all that you gave us. St. Kitts well on its way to become world class tourist destination and the new developments we continue to go forward, which gives us a lot of positive news to discuss with the participants of the event. ”

Moving forward in the year 2010, St. Kitts will maintain a strategic niche-based approach to the promotion of tourism products, and, with the growing influence of online and social media, St. Kitts will be more direct efforts to these tactics in the year 2010. To further support the uptick predictions for 2010 and encourage inbound travel, St. Kitts has expanded island-wide value-added programs. Island hotel and resort developments continue to progress through the various stages of planning and development. Environmental sustainability will be a key area of focus, as will the development of product standards to positively impact the overall visitor experience.

During the first quarter of 2010 alone, St. Kitts has a peak season, Delta Air Lines non-stop flight from Atlanta who had just commenced on December 23, 2009; British Airways will begin two direct flights from London Gatwick airport via Antigua on March 30, 2010 in addition to daily by American Airlines flight from Miami and twice-weekly flights from JFK in New York and U.S. Airways flights from Philadelphia and South Carolina.

Cruise arrivals for the 2009/2010 season peak set increased 18 percent during the previous season, approaching half a million mark for the first time in the history of the island.

Year 2009 brought a 25-30% lower prices for luxury holidays, but there are also cases in which extraordinary adjustment costs by 70%, spokesperson of the National Association of Travel Agencies (Anat), Traian B?dulescu, said on Friday .
“This year, about 10,000 Romanians with high incomes continue luxurious vacations, 25% more than last year. The best sale and exotic destination is the island of Cuba, the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic, Mauritius, but also Mexico and Thailand. 5000 tourists went sailing, preferring Mediterranean destinations, “said Traian B?dulescu. Anat representatives added that the price for such holidays fall on average 25-30% this year, compared with 2008, and in some cases, a decrease of 70% was registered. Thus, on average, prices rose to 2,500-3,000 euros, but there are also tourists who paid € 37,000 for a vacation.
According to NATA representative, sought another segment this year is a cruise ship, estimated to 5000 the number of tourists that vacation as selected, mainly due to declining prices made by travel agents.
President “Paralela 45″ Travel Agency, Alin Burcea, said that the luxury segment continues to find, mainly due to the decline in prices this year. “Luxury will be cheaper, especially since the price of airline tickets down. Luxury tourism is still practiced, mainly because of lower prices to offer the tourism this year, but they chose to spend a luxurious vacation is less than the previous year. For example, this year we have families who go to Dubai for 12,000-15,000 euros, “said Burcea.
Alin Burcea added that niche tourism decline this year, especially for the company, because the big companies chose the packages differ for a single trip. “This year, large companies choose to combine business with pleasure and have bought the package to build a team, where they also introduced a training seminar, which is usually made in isolation, exemplified Burcea.
The “Paralela 45″ representative mentioned that the average amount spent by tourists for summer holidays fell from around 600 euros in the year 2008-570. He estimates that, in 2010, the average amount spent by tourists will reach € 500 per day off.

Burden a little lighter this time after my annual visit to the new travel agency holidays fall-winter catalog from Canadian major tour operators. There are missing from the Conquest, which had been closed, and Signature, which has joined with Sunwing Vacations. But there was still an impressive selection sun destination. And I’m not talking about more than Cuba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, which dominates the winter-run business.

Take Grenada, for example. Most of Canadian I’ve met who have visited there briefly stopped at a cruise ship. I think you should stay longer Grenada.Fertile and the mountains, it was one of the most beautiful Caribbean islands I’ve seen. Public beach, there is no high-rises; locals seem really friendly and speak English, although with an interesting accent and one of loonies we bought two and a half East Caribbean dollar, the local currency.

Grenada will soon be more easily accessible. Starting November 23, Sunwing will fly there non-stop from Toronto on Monday and Wednesday.

Belize, Central America, is another interesting addition to Sunwing Vacations’ catalog.

Divers are lured by the world’s second largest barrier reef. Others drawn by Mayan ruins and the emphasis on eco-tourism.

English is used widely – Belize has become a British colony – and our dollar is worth almost two of them.

Sunwing will begin flying there from Toronto via Roatan Island, Honduras, in December.

Club Grand Bahama, a new program in which participating WestJet Vacations, which is attractive to look at.

It is promoted as an all-inclusive concept that enables tourists to not only choose a place to stay in Grand Bahama Island, but where to eat and what to do, all for a fixed price.

Depending on whether you buy silver, gold or platinum packages, you get five options for hotel accommodations, meals in up to 18 restaurants as much as 50 goals and activities of three golf courses.

But Club Grand Bahama is not really all-inclusive. It does not provide lunch, only breakfast and dinner. And, except for drinks served at a welcome reception and beach party, it does not include alcohol.

WestJet to fly to Grand Bahama Island from Toronto twice a week. Www.westjetvacations.com visit or contact a travel agent.

Tourists interested in Central and South America resorts can find some in Nolitours’ catalog, including Cartagena, Colombia, Margarita Island in Venezuela, and El Salvador.

Air Canada Vacations has packages less like visiting the islands of Bermuda and Anguilla.

Sunquest has targeted several resorts to baby boomers, with features such as shaded areas on the beach and swimming pool and in the local or medical attention. Well, the older boomers, too, you know.

The all-inclusive of people like hot, but light fine for a lot longer wants to stay the winter. Here are a few areas to consider:

- Portugal’s Algarve coast, which has attracted Canada, mostly seniors, for decades.

Canadian Travel Abroad (CTA) has a lot of options inside the apartment 2010 brochure package. CTA new owner, Rhonda Stephenson used to be a national sales manager JM Vacations, a company that specializes in Portugal and Spain. He was regarded as an expert in long-lived Portuguese market. Visit www.CanadianTravelAbroad.com.

- North Carolina’s Brunswick County beaches, where the Merit Vacations offers 29-night holiday at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort for $ 1990 per person, double occupancy. That included a plane ticket round-trip from Toronto to Raleigh / Durham or Myrtle Beach, rental car for 30 days, accommodation in one bedroom condo. Packages are available through March 1. Phone 1-866-341-1777 or visit www.merit.ca.

Two major tour operators will make non-stop flight from London International Airport this winter.

Both Sunwing and Sunquest will fly to Cancun / Riviera Maya and Varadero on Monday, starting December 21.

Depending on the cruise lines and destination, prices for many cruise ships had reached the lowest point for several weeks.

While winter sailing season is yet to come, cruise lines have repositioned their shipping is available for spring. One thing I noticed is that the starting price of this trip is higher than this fall’s repositioning cruise as the ships were returned to the traditional winter areas such as the Caribbean, Mexico, Australia and South America.

With that, I went hunting for bargains and interesting for the purpose as cruise lines reposition their ships in the spring of 2010.

Is the price of this cruise ship decrease as they near the departure date? The best rule is to find one that interests you, then immediately book the best cabin selection at a price you can afford. If you’re a gambler, then you can wait until closer to the date of sailing.

Here are some trips that I found. All prices are starting, based on per person, double occupancy and do not include taxes and fees. All this is available at the time of writing, but this may change by the time you read this.

Carnival Cruises Carnival is the position of San Diego Happy to Mobile, Ala. for the winter. This is a 15-day cruise departing on April 30 and includes travel through the Panama Canal. Ports of call include Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puntarenas, Cartagena, Grand Cayman and Tampa. The starting price is $ 979 U.S.. For more details, visit carnival.com.

Celebrity Millennium left San Diego on April 30 for Vancouver on the night of 14 attractive west coast and Alaska cruise. Port calls include Seattle, Sitka, Hubbard Glacier, the way Skag, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Ketchikan, Victoria and Vancouver. Prices start from $ 929. Find out more at celebritycruises.com.

Holland America, a leading cruise lines, who called this trip “Inca Empire.” It’s a long, 34-day cruise that began in San Diego, sailed to South America, and ended in Vancouver. This will be on what will be the newly renovated Rotterdam. Once you get to Lima, Peru you have three days to explore. This also includes overnight stops at Fuerte Amador and Huatulco. The starting price is $ 3658. Cruise departs on April 10, heading south to Puerto Vallarta, Zihuatanejo, Puerto Quetzal, Corinto, Fuerte Amador, Salaverry, Callo (Lima), and Manta Ecuador Guayaquil, Puerto Chiapas, Huatulco, Cabo San Lucas, San Diego again, Victoria to Vancouver .

Pure Bay Resort, one of the western Caribbean’s most anticipated resort-community, today announced the Black Pearl nine holes golf course will be opened by the first year, and 18 full-open for play by residents, real estate, prospects and visitors by early spring 2010 .

Pure Bay and The Black Pearl, located in the idyllic tropical island of Roatan, a long favorite of divers and an increasingly popular destination in the Caribbean travel cruise. Grassed with revolutionary Paspalum grass, the back nine of the par-72, 7179-yard layout to enjoy growing season very well and on schedule to offer a neat condition to play during the peak tourist season.

“After months of hard work by a team of Dye Designs, The Black Pearl with a quick maturity and coming to fruition,” Mario Toriello, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pristine Bay Resort. “We anticipate all 18 holes will be opened by Easter. The Black Pearl will feature Caribbean with a view of 14th hole and serves as an extraordinary island introducing world-class golf.”

Like golf courses, housing development component Pristine Bay too fast on the clip. Gulf view and golf course condominiums, two, three, and four-bedroom villa units and one-quarter-acre custom home lots, many of which obstructed ocean views, all available. Villas ranging from $ 600,000 and range up to $ 1 million; many run from $ 230,000 to $ 700,000 and condos from $ 348,000 to $ 700,000.

Golf fans will truly impressed by Pete and Perry Dye works. The Black Pearl’s signature hole is the 157-yard (145 meters from the Blue tees), the island-green par-3 11th. From the tee, players enjoy the incredible scenery golf course and the Caribbean. Green sits in the middle of the lake and surrounded by bunkers, narrow slightly tilted to allow taking the remaining dry. Given the elevated tee and there are always trade wins, the right club selection will be key to avoiding a large number scorecard.

Players who drop shots in 11 will have the chance to make amends in the 540-yard (499 meters from the Blue tees), par-5 13th hole, but only if they play with caution. Fairway width pleaded for a strong impulse; real challenge lies in the second and third shots. Longer hitters will have the opportunity to reach the green in two, but should avoid missing leaving a hole as peppered with more than 20 small bunker began about 100 yards from the green. A lay-ups are not cheap too, as the tapered cross the river landing area.

The 417-yard (397 meters from the Blue tees), par-4 15th hole that would have other golfers reach their cameras. Playing against an ocean backdrop, a car down the hill to thread and avoid the fairway bunkers on the left river. Largest fairway bunker and then narrows, running on the left side of the fairway and coil around the green, act as a buffer between the lake and putting surface.

“The Black Pearl Bay Pristine complete luxury resort and real estate option; golf will attract tourists from all over the world and those who are interested in buying a second home or vacation on an island paradise that provides tremendous value,” Toriello said. “We can not wait to open it to play.”
